How To Make Fancy Coffees
It’s no secret that I love espresso, so do my friends and fam, and sometimes we can be a bit picky about how our espresso is prepped and how it tastes. I love to play barista when they come over, but then realized that most people assume making coffee drinks is difficult.
Enter Espressoworks…
I make awesome espresso and coffee-based drinks with the touch of a button. Perks: Easy to use, easy to clean, no pods needed, you can use whatever roast of coffee you’d like, and it’s not super pricey. There are many machines out there, but this one is one of my favorites because the quality of espresso it makes is stellar and the crema comes out perfectly. I simply add other ingredients to make them a touch fancier.
Here’s the link to the Espressoworks machine, should you want one for yourself (I’m not an affiliate— just sharing)! Click HERE.
Below is a video showing you some recipes and just how easy it is to prepare a few espresso drinks. I’ve also included the recipes below as I’m sure most of you could do better at dressing up your coffees than I can. You could also prepare a better video, but let’s stick to the topic of coffee for now. :)
RECIPES
Make sure your Espressoworks machine has enough water in its reservoir before beginning…
Espresso Shot
Place the portafilter basket into the portafilter and fill with one scoop of espresso grounds. Push the espresso grounds down into the portafilter with the espresso scoop to pack in well. Attach the portafilter to the machine and press the espresso button.
Affogato
Follow the instructions about for “espresso shot” and set aside. Fill a glass with quality vanilla ice cream and pour the espresso shot over top the ice cream when ready to serve. I love adding caramel sauce on the top and sometimes even adding whipped cream and a sprig of mint. Love me an affogato or two!
Espresso Macchiato
Make one or two shots of espresso and add a touch of frothed milk of your choice to the top (milk, half and half, heavy cream, oat milk, whatever you’d like).
Latte
Follow the instructions above for “espresso shot”, but instead push the Latte button.
Cappuccino
Follow the instructions above for “espresso shot”, but instead push the Cappuccino button. I’ve not yet mastered the milk-foam arts, so I use the Espressoworks stencil to make cinnamon/nutmeg powder designs at the top of my cappuccinos.
Mocha
Fill the bottom of your cup with an ounce or two of chocolate sauce/syrup (you can even melt your own and use that), follow the instructions above for “espresso shot”, but instead push the cappuccino button. I like to top the entire drink off with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
Unicorn Iced Coffee
Make one shot of espresso and set aside. Put 2 scoops of ice cream into a cup, insert an upside-down ice cream cone, fill the cup with ice, then fill the cup with milk until 1/8 inch from the top of the glass, pour the espresso over the milk and ice, top with lots of whipped cream, and add pink/purple sprinkles and chocolate shavings. You can also use other toppings, but this is what I had in my kitchen.
ENJOY!!!
