The Prettiest Color of Red

It was time for a new beginning.

I decided to leave my fifteen-year marriage and the place we called home so, before we moved, I asked my daughter if there was anything she wanted for our new home.

She surprised me by asking for a red leafed Japanese maple tree. Then life surprised me again by giving me not one, but two that flanked our new home. One for each of my littles.

They love to climb and sit in them, and I love watching the leaves turn into the prettiest color of red.

Three years later and I'm so thankful for new beginnings, my loves, my life and the Japanese maples that are a constant reminder of how generous life continues to be with blessings both big and small!
