Igloo Parties in Your Own Back Yard

You’ve seen the fun igloos outside of restaurants and at special event venues, but did you know you can rent your own private igloo to enjoy in your own back yard? It’s true!

One night, I was scrolling through my Instagram feed searching for “#quarantinebirthdayideas” and noticed a small business in my area that puts together outdoor lounges. The photo depicts a fun set-up consisting of a long, kneel-down table with seat cushions, chic place settings, and decor atop the table such as mood-setting candles, whimsical flower arrangements, golden charger plates, etc. I remember envisioning myself sitting at that table with family and friends, toasting to another year of life and love, laughing, noshing, sipping, and more.

I then noticed that the same company was hosting a giveaway for a lucky winner to win an outdoor lounge experience with AN IGLOO! I immediately entered the giveaway and, although I didn’t win, I knew I would soon contact the two companies to put something together for my husband’s birthday in January.

They arrived on the afternoon of my husband’s birthday, set-up in the backyard, sanitized everything again before they left, and that was it!

My husband, daughter, and I enjoyed the ambiance of being in a warmed igloo under the stars, celebrating my husband in style while sipping on Veuve Clicquot and noshing on chocolate cake (we supplied our own Clicquot, food, and cake).
