Love Is Always In The Air (Not Just on Valentine's)

There are many days to celebrate love and so many different ways of showing it.  Love is always in the air, not just on Valentine’s!

Let your hair down a little.
Give YOURSELF some lovin'.️

There's Galentine's Day (2/13), Valentine's Day (2/15), Single's Day (11/11), your birthday...

"But Liz, it's not the same!"
Says who? Society? Since when did you allow society to make you follow their rules? I thought so.

Does Valentine’s Day feel less than sweet to you? Is it the commercial culture? Is it because you’re not in a relationship so this holiday makes you queasy? Or maybe does it bring you sadness? Did something happen on this day that doesn’t make you feel good about it? No matter the answer, I hear you. You’re not alone (it’s quite normal, actually)!

Reassign the meaning and how you can go about celebrating love— if you decide to. Valentine’s Day is supposed to be a day during which we celebrate love, right? There are so many forms of love to celebrate. And there are all kinds of relationships to celebrate: the kind you have with your family, your friends, your co-workers, even the relationship you’re in with your phone! (Didn’t think about it that way, did you?)

The most important relationship you'll need to constantly nurture is the one you have with yourself. You’ve heard it before, but I know it can be difficult to apply. All we can do is begin. Let’s do this, shall we? Onward! ️
Enjoy this moment, you sexy beast!

Below are some ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Don’t forget, there’s always Galentine’s Day (2/13), Valentine’s Day (2/14), Single’s Day (11/11), Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, your birthday, your half birthday…

Date Ideas For Couples:
-Take the day off and go hiking, camping/glamping, and be at one (two) with nature
-Have you both been talking about wanting to try a restaurant in your town? It’s time! Make a reservation.
-Take a class on Thai Bodywork Massage
-Rent an Airbnb at a romantic cabin escape
-Stay in a tiny house, enjoy take-out, and play couples games
-Dinner and a movie is the classic date night. Sometimes you don’t have to do more than that!
-Couples’ Spa Day, anyone?

Galentine’s Ideas:
-Have your Galentine’s over to make a potluck meal to share (the more homemade, the better)
-Find a fun group class to participate in (Zumba, painting, drawing, dancing, etc.)
-Try making candles at your nearest Paddywax Candle Bar
-Get glammed up together and have a sleepover
-Dress up and go to tea
-Order pizza in and chick-chat over Ethyl Ambrosia and chocolate-covered strawberries

Self-Love and Ideas:
-Prep your favorite breakfast (Golden Grahams and espresso FTW!)
-Wear your favorite outfit and drop it like it’s hot!
-Take yourself to a juice bar and get the good stuff to nourish your bod
-Dedicate a love song to yourself (sounds cheesy, but bad-ass ones exist out there!)
-Take yourself dancing
-Make time to do the thing that brings you joy
-Splurge a little on yourself for lunch and/or dinner (you do it for others, why not yourself?)
-Attend a class (cooking, painting, dancing, pottery-makingwhatever intrigues you)
-Take a solo-trip or a staycation
-Make a luxurious natural bath for yourself and enjoy it
