Fillers and Aging Across Ethnicities

Most people think that because I'm Asian-American, my skin doesn't age as quickly. But it does and I noticed it, so... I got aesthetic injectables! Once I hit 40, my skin really did change. I started losing volume in my cheeks, which bothered me because I felt younger on the inside than how I saw myself on the outside.

It might be my Asian upbringing, but I felt it was taboo to get injectables and talk about it. I met with my dermatologist and she helped put my mind at ease. I didn't want to look different; I just wanted to look more like how I felt on the inside — more me. I had Galderma Aesthetics injectables in my cheeks and I could immediately see the results. I had no bruising, left my doctor's office happy, and didn't tell my friends I had a treatment done. Several friends complimented me on my skin's appearance and even asked me if I got a facial! :)

My results were awesome, and I'll definitely continue to get Galderma Aesthetic injectables. Please consult with your doctor or healthcare practitioner to find the solution that best suits you. P.S. One of the reasons why I wanted this type of filler (versus something like Botox) is that hyaluronic-acid-based fillers can be “undone” if you don’t like your results. I barely needed much filler, but it made me feel better, and it could be undone if I didn’t like the results. I loved my results.
